Owner, Erika Belalcazar, shares Sweet Crumb Cakery’s Simple Buttercream recipe and demonstrates techniques, so you can make your cakes look as wonderful as they taste. If you are a novice decorator, Erika will teach you to fill, stack and crumb coat your cake layers like a professional. Then learn the secrets for a smooth buttercream finish and complete the look with a Leprechaun hat cake for a holiday twist. Join us for this fun class as you will learn how to make THE PERFECT CAKE for you to show and share with family/friends! What you'll learn:
The varieties and basics about buttercream
Cake decorating equipment & tools
Coloring buttercream with gel colors
Stack and fill a cake with buttercream
How to prepare and structure your cake
Buttercream piping, tips and tricks

Cake decorating equipment, recipe, tools, cakes, buttercream, decorations, and apron (for workshop use only)
Beverages and light snacks

Your beautifully frosted and decorated 6” 4 layer cake
Resources to continue your cake journey at home
What to wear?
We will be supplying a full-length apron for class but wear comfy clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little Buttercream on! :)
