FAQ’S

Are cake tastings available?

Yes! We currently conduct cake tasting once every two months with our 4 signature cake tasting boxes directly from our home studio. The box contains 4 cupcakes of our most popular flavors and 4 fillings, designed to give you a sense of the quality and diversity in flavors/fillings we offer. The boxes are available for purchase. Please contact us for more details to reserve your tastings.

When should I reserve/book my cake?

For custom cake orders, the earlier the better! We operate from a small studio and have a limit on the amount of orders we can take on per week. We will do our best to accommodate your order, however most clients are ready to begin the cake design process roughly six months prior to the event.

Does my cake need to be refrigerated?

Yes, as we use fresh ingredients and no preservatives your cake should be refrigerated and taken out 1-3 hours prior to serving, this allows the buttercream enough time to soften without causing it to melt but remember to take climate into consideration as well. When refrigerated your cake can last up to one week while still retaining its best taste.

Is there a delivery fee?

For custom cake orders we charge a reasonable delivery rate, the fee depends on the county in which your event is taking place and its proximity to our location. Exact cost will be handled on a per customer basis and will be included in the quote. Cakes are generally delivered on the day of the event to your designated venue.  You are welcome to pick up your cake from our home studio, however it is recommend that larger tiered cakes be delivered as this is a complex and delicate task!

Do you teach cake decorating classes?

Yes, please visit “workshops” on our website for more information. You can purchase them under the “store” tab.

Tell me more about the cake workshops!?

We are glad to hear that you are interested in our cake decorating Workshops. Visit our website under “workshops” for current availability, types of courses listed and we'd be delighted to have you. RSVP is required no less than five days in advance of the class start date. If you would like to proceed with the RSVP process, Visit our online “STORE” and select the class wanting to attend.

The actual bread is pre-baked the night before due to time constraints and cooling process. The day of the class we will cover all techniques in creating the perfect cake, we will crumb coat the cake (apply the buttercream), fill, stack, followed by the chilling process and final decorating. Every class is different so the teaching and techniques will be unique per course. If you have any other questions feel free to contact us. Due to the prep and planning for each attendee, purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.  We reserve the right to cancel and/or reschedule the workshop.

Do you send out reminders before a class I’m signed up for?

Unfortunately that would be impossible for us to do – please mark your calendar accordingly! We do send out a welcome email to confirm the class.

What is your cancellation policy for classes?

Our Workshop classes are just like purchasing theater tickets. We staff and make purchases on your behalf in advance of the class regardless of your actual attendance. We also have limited space which makes it important for us to have an exact guest count since we often have to turn away potential students when classes fill.

Because we are a 100% reservation based business, we have to adhere to a very specific policy regarding cancellation. Please carefully review this policy below:

If you are signed up for a class, we require a week notice of cancellation for a full credit to a future scheduled class. This policy is in fairness to our instructor, who performs prep-work prior to classes requiring their time and the purchase of supplies to ensure that you have a successful class experience. If the notice is less than a week, a re-enrollment/schedule FEE will be required. If you cancel up to 3 days (72 hours) prior to your class, a refund will be issued in the form of store credit only. Within 72 hours prior to your class we CANNOT ISSUE REFUNDS OR CREDIT under any circumstances as we have very limited space available and require advanced reservations for all classes.

No refunds or credits will be given to changes or cancellations made on the day of the class or for no shows — without exception.
